The ninth edition in the Mandala Wildlife series. The reverse features the beautiful full-body image of a crocodile filled with a mandala print. Each piece presents a different wild animal. It also includes information about the metal's proof and denomination. The obverse shows the coat of arms of the Republic of Chad, which is supported by a goat and a lion on either side. Below it is a symbol with the national motto in French, "Unite, Travail, Progres," which means "Unity, Work, Progress" in English.

The coin was struck in a limited edition of 10 000 pieces worldwide.
