The Krugerrand is a silver bullion coin produced by the South African Mint. The name of the coin comes from the name of the president of the Republic of South Africa- Paul Kruger in 1960s. The second part of the name "rand" is the name of the national currency in RSA. The obverse shows Paul Kruger likeness and the name of the country South Africa in two languages ( African and English). The reverse  is decorated with the symbol of South Africa - the antelope Springbok with the date of issue, denomination and weight of the coin.
