Latvia 2 euro 2023 - Sunflower for Ukraine - coincard

The coin's central motif depicts one of the symbols of the Ukrainian nation – the sunflower, which has a strong presence in Ukrainian folklore and culture, appearing in cuisine, legends, literature and painting for many years. What's more, sunflowers for many Ukrainians are a symbol of the homeland, as against the blue sky, they resemble the colors of the national flag. The coin also features the inscription 'SLAVA UKRAINAI!' at the top, and at the bottom the name of the issuing country 'LATVIJA' and the year of issue '2023'.
