The Australian Kookaburra is one of the most popular silver coins produced by Australia's Perth Mint. The first time was introduced in 1990 and since then has enjoyed great succes among investors. The Kookaburra is also distinguished by the fact that its image changes every year. The reverse of the coin shows two Kookaburra perched on branches. The birds are mainly characterized by their large heads and massive beaks, as well as their beige body plumage. Around the design is the year of issue, the weight of the coin and the metal finesse. The obverse shows an image of Queen Elizabeth II along with the country of issue and the face value.
